that's awesome! it'll give you the necessary practice. it's like a break-through, it helped me tremendously going to the US for the first time. It'll be 4 years in june of '09 since i've been here. and by the way my name is Elena

well it's very easy to find out! if they teach you to spell theatRE not theater, colOUr not color, centRE not center, then you're learning the British English, which is good.
i noticed that some of the people here are trying to use the text message version of the English language and also the ghetto version. That's not really good. if you come to America and start talking ghetto without actually living there, you may get in trouble. those ghetto people are very particular of their social origin and descent.

| yeah i was in Work and Travel program, TIPS branch - we were mostly in TN, but we got to visit NY, Washington DC, Murtle Beach, Atlanta and some minor places.
where are you going to be living and working at? every time i went in the US for a summer i was working at different factories, which is hard but it brings a little bit more money than working at the restaurant. we were working all those crazy 12 hour shifts 6 days a week, but it was pretty rewarding. not too much language practice though. i work at the bank now.
